A heater is supposed to... heat Feb 24, 2010 Not only does it have a very strong plastic odor that is overwhelming but it does not put out much heat at all. It barely blows out and I have to be inches from it to feel any heat what-so-ever. I would send it back but I really dont want to bother with all that. I would choose another heater for sure.
works so well I bought 2 Feb 18, 2010 got this to use in my baby's room almost 3 years ago, I use it to keep the room comfortable using either fan or heat. Its so quite and I get really good results with regulating the room tempature. I have no concerns about its saftey the cord is very sturdy and the plastic housing does not get hot. I bought a second one for baby number 2's bedroom and have the same great results.
does the job... Feb 14, 2010 got this little heater as auxillary warm up for my little girls room, which tends to be the coolest in the house...small footprint, and does the job in a 12x14 room with wooden floors...you can set up different levels of heat between the two knobs, to keep the room just right, and the unit never gets too hot to touch...in fact, on full blast, the room would be stuffy...not too loud, either. For the money, cant be beat!
WARM! Feb 10, 2010 Unlike other reviewers, I live in a subarctic climate and my apartment is not properly insulated. Which means that with our furnace constantly running it doesn't get any warmer than 65. We got this little heater for our living room and it does get the room 10 degrees warmer. As far as noise level, I can't hear it over our furnace. It arrived promptly and safely from Amazon.
I really like this heater. Feb 03, 2010 This heater works well for me! It also seems much safer than heaters I've had in the past because it is very sturdy and shuts off automatically at a certain temperature. On extra cold days, I put it in the bathroom and warm up the bathroom before I shower. Sometimes the heat in our house just isn't enough in every room. If the bedroom is a little cold and I turn this on and close the door, it warms it up a lot.
I think if you are trying to heat a big space - like an open living room for example, it might not be strong enough. It's really the type of thing you use in an office or bedroom as an additional heat source.
